TC as in traction control? not to in detailed yet with what is all in the transmissions, and when you say everything, is that everything needed to tear it all apart and put back together?

TC= Tourqe Converter, I will say first hand if you dont have any experince with transmissions dont do it. Im taking the automatic transmissions class for my ASE ceritfication and they have ALOT of parts, mis-place a clutch with a smaller or larger clutch and you will have a messed up trans on your hands.

thanks JR, traction control in the tranny didn't quite make sense to me, so through max did you get to pick how high of a stall you went with? and who did the work on it?

Im trying to take the upper control arems off the front, it is the pinch style, i took the nut off, and it mves about a 1/16 of an inch up and down, but will not completely slide off, is it suppose to, or do i need a pickle for and pry it apart?

DO NOT rebuild your transmission... the -96 cases and everything in them suck... go get a 98+ that way you get the good case, and good owc...

alighty, will not rebuild this transmission, but, what do i do about the upper control arm, that connects o the hub carrier

what do i do about the upper control arm, that connects o the hub carrier
BFH! pull the pinch bolt and beat the bottom side of the upper control arm upward. trust me it is odd to do and you might look a little special doing it but she will come out. a BFH is the most used tool on any FoMoCo vehicle.

Well, i finally got my motor dropped, tranny is out, is there anything worth saving on this tranny, the one way bearing is supposedly out, does the mlps work on all the trannies, cause the one that is on there is brand new, also is the tail shaft worth keeping, or does all 4r70w have the same lenght, also got my gas tank taken apart, but have to wait for it to get warmer before i can clean out the inside.

not sure but dont you need the internal electrics out of the trans is you decide to go to a newer style, might be worth holding onto.

.........i dunno i just thought someone said if you are going with a 98'ish trans to just swap the electronics. hit up nolimit95 and see what he did

When nolimit swapped his in he did it based on Krackers article... swapped all the electronics and reused his 94 harness...

having a problem, the friggin manual wont tell me what size torque bit i need to remove the seat belts it is telling me a special seat belt bit, t77l-2100-a, my guess is its probably pretty pricey, what size is the bit needed in torques, or do i absoluetly need this special bit
