trying to remove the front grille on my 93 mark v111 i see two bolts in the grille is there any more ? wont come loose

There are like 6-8 screws under the front of it on the inside of the bumper cover at the bottom of the grille as well. Pretty much have to take the top and side screws out, then remove the bumper cover (not too bad of a job really) and then turn it upside down and get a stubby phillips head screwdriver and have at it.

OK. man thats a pain in the a**. chrome is worn off the grill was going to take it off and paint it i just taped it off good and stuffed news papers inside the grill and painted it gold since the lincolin emblem was gold on the sides came out nice im trying to put up pics but am haveing some trouble

pulling the front bumper is ez. in order to post pics you need a photobucket account (its free). just upload the photo there copy the img link and paste.

if pulling the bumper is difficult you should go ahead and find a mechanic, let him take you out to dinner a few times. I always like dinner and a movie before i get focked. the front suspension is a total b!tch on this car. if you are still on air.... well stock up on Vaseline.. its gonna hurt. o and god forbid the imrc or egr goes bad or if you need to do a valve cover job.

ha ha i dont have any problems doing mechanical work just didnt feel up to it 2 day raining like heck own a 95 continental i do all my own work but am always learning

I can understand your pain. I too know how to do my own work but that grill for some reason really gets to me... Now in all sincerity? GOLD? What color is your car?

Its red mat has gold on the radio ant and gold around the front emblem looks factory to me? its a hammerd gold color not bright looks ok but think it looked better black was chrome till it wore off can you get these grilles rechromed and if so is it $$$

Just get a nice one off of here, or ebay... it will cost you less. I paid $100 for a MINT condition grille off ebay, came from california. I almost didn't want to put my good headlights and grille in my car when I rebuilt it!

i wanna see a pic.. or it didn't happen, oh btw, you need to strip all the chrome off before you paint, otherwise it will continue to peel

Is there a relatively quick and painless way to do that? Or just sandpaper and elbow grease?
Chrome's flaking on mine, want to paint it black.

I know it's a lot but juss sayin, for $344, you can get a NIB grille, never installed before. It makes all the difference in the world but black does look good too sometimes. I have seen a few that looked good but then everything else on the front will need to be painted to match.

The only reason I bought a new grille was because I knew mine was going to remain inside a garage for the most part and rarely ever see direct sunlight. It still looks like it did when I bought it last year. Not one chip or anything. Also, it wasn't $344 when I bought mine from Tasca.com

Seems like it was around $327 + shipping but made the front end look much better. Then the headlights weren't blinging like the grille so I got those new and then the corner lenses weren't blinging like the headlights and got some of those new. I think I'm done with that car now. That stuff started getting expensive lol. That's just my own way of modding.

The GOLD grille wasnt doing it for me repainted it 2 day with 500 degree black wrinkle paint came out great! then hit it with a lite coat of 500 dgree clear so bugs wont get mashed into the wrinkles makes the gold lincolin emblem stand out . still working on pics
