Having my axle housing rebuilt and 4.10's installed, and I had a quick question...
When reinstalling the side bearings for the housing (needle roller bearings, not carrier) the passenger side has a much deeper area for the bearing to press into, and the drivers side bearing fits perfectly in one spot, no room for movement, and sits snug up against the axle seal...... should the passenger side mimic this even though I have the extra space? Or should I bring the bearing inward as far as I can? Toward the carrier bearing. (Like it was when I removed it)
Probably doesn't matter either way does it?
