After all the drama snapping the 113" serp belt at SSHS9, slicing the blower oil drain hose when the belt snapped, Aric having to loan me the dip stick tube from his t-bird because Ford no longer sells a dip stick tube for a Mark VIII due to another oil drip, replacing the speedo gear, etc., The Mark went racing yesterday, and did purdy good too!

Check out the time slips - car 23, and the 7.9 runs. I did real good all day until I lined up against a rail on electronics that could dial in any time he wanted. He treed my ass to boot, but I gave him a good run at least and he took me at the line. :) The first round had me up against a fender racer that broke out lol. Great day!

Great times. I sure would like to see both our cars going down the track heads up. It'd be close!!

Its hard to play with the super cars. I feel your pain.

Thanks, Guys. The car is very close to where I want it now. Aric needs the car back at the shop to make sure all the drips are gone. He has some kind of dye in the motor oil now to help locate the drips. And now that I have the drag radials on the car, he is going to work on the shifting and torque converter lockup because the dr's hook very well on the street.

I am happy with the power it makes being neutered. I am done chasing numbers lol. I have Aric under spinning the blower, mostly because I want this setup to have some longevity. The motor is at 3k rpm at 80 mph, and sounds like a jet airplane going down the road blowing off all the unused air as it is. This car is stupid fast to 100+ for being such a porker, so I can live with that for the handful of times I will take it to the track when I need a fix...

Mike -

I'm pretty sure I have a dipstick tube sitting around my place from when I had my 95. If you want it, just PM me your address and if I have it I'll mail it out to you.

Thanks for the offer, Tommy! I will check with Aric and see if he has had any luck finding one. I am not too worried about it, though. I have not seen the tube he took out of the car, but I suspect the tube might have been caught and bent by the steering arm while they were putting the new motor in.

That would explain why I had to have Jamie express mail me a steering arm to replace my bent steering arm during the install. :shifty:

Wowzers man...

Nice stuff!

Thanks! :)
