Why not? (Doesn't matter, I guess.)

I've got plenty of ideas of how to add one, but wondered if anybody's already made this modification. Will appreciate your comments/experience, especially on where to pull the +12VDC. Thanks.

Andy

EDIT: Prolly figured anybody driving a $40K car would just flip out their cell phone for a tow if it quit at 0-dark-thirty.

You're not supposed to OPEN the hood!!! What are you thinking?!?!? :D

Hehe, to tell the truth I thought the same thing when I first opened the hood on mine. Then I didn't care enough to try and add one.

LEDs FTW!!

Not that I know how to do it, but they're small, durable and draw small amounts of power. You could even arrange them so that when they light up it makes a shape or spells something!!

Eh, not looking for show, just function. Wanted to check the oil the other night before taking off for the weekend, and had to hold a flash light in my teeth.

Yes, but a much simpler approach will be a basic light of some sort. If it happens to be LED, then so be it. Separate LED's would be a pain. Now, a battery-powered LED light might be a thought, as I wouldn't have to run any wiring.

Don't they make those as a magnetic mount? That'd be really easy to install.
