3.0 V6 knock

So, I discovered why I never saw my oil light illuminate.
Last year I had an underhood fire when my power steering pressure sensor started spraying P/S fluid onto my exhaust manifold, got the fire out and the car was fine, some wiring was burned but everything worked. It turns out that my oil pressure sensor was damaged and had a short to ground so it always thought it had oil pressure.

'Tis true...
but had I seen the light, I would have immediately pulled over and checked my oil, it may have scratched or scorn instead of wiping out bearings.

It's starting to look like a car again. Dad and I are "taking 5" with it being in the upper 80's here. Engine and trans went in no problem, just finished mounting the accessories, radiator pack is all together, fan is in place. all that's left really is the cooling hoses, power steering fluid, fan fluid, and install the wiring harness, kept meaning to do that and we'd end up doing something else... oh well it should be too bad with the cowl out.

If funds allowed, they would be. I replaced the sketchy looking 01 coils with my known good 02 coils.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!

While bleeding and doing other checks, I noticed a small leak at the thermostat housing, and I need to change the tensioner. Waiting for it to cool and then, i'm doing those things. Until then, I get to go find a thermostat housing O-ring.....

It is now all back together, quiet, strong, and ready for a test drive. Figured out the squeak was a VERY bad crank pulley, pics later when I'm not in such a rush to get somewhere important.

Here are your promised pics! So, this is what the squeaking was, the pulley was so far out of whack, the belt wasn't riding in the correct area of the tensioner. You could see the crank pulley wobbling when it was running

She was looking to separate soon enough by the looks.
On my Maxima winter beater, had the harmonic balancer separate and slide off, chewed up two belts, $400 later ... fun fun fun
