2005 ls headlamps

You mean the high beams? Did you try pulling the multifunction leaver(turn signal)?

there is no way he didn't just try to turn the brights on unless the last car he owned was an 89 F150 with the highbeam switch mounted to the floor!

the suspense is killing me...

"The ones that would be closest to the grill. What are they for exactly?"

Anything is possible!

Yeah they don't turn on. I thought I was missing something. LOL I guess I should of been more detailed in my questioning so I don't sound like a complete moron. Everything I tried nothing got them to turn on. Hopefully its just the bulbs out and not something electrical....walked in to that **** haha...

Anyone know if the first gens had a daytime headlight running option? Is that a program thing

Op... yep just check bulb connection, bulbs, and fuse. Does everything else work on the multifuntion switch? (Turn signal stick)?

Those multifunction switches don't all work the same. Some you pull to click, others you push away from you to get the high beams on. And, I always preferred the foot button for the high beams. Putting everything on the turn stalk means replacing the turn stalk on a regular basis with a 200 dollar part when one piece of it fails. Turn signals, high beam and wiper controls on the Lincoln, turn signals, high beams and cruise control on the Silverado. I kinda miss the old days when the high beams were on the floor, the wipers were on the dash, and the turn signal stalk was a simple chrome bar with a rubber tip. Simple and clean, and you only ever had to replace the 5 dollar high beam button about once every 15 years when the rust finally caught up to it.

Yes optional and they are programmable on all gen, you can have them turned on in the US, on by law in Canada where they can't be programed off.

Burned out bulb should show up on you 2005 message center and get a ding when you turn the key on, run through your menu button just for giggles, if your 2005 is an V6 then never mind.

yeah everything on the turn switch is fine. The blinker switch is what isn't working I assume since there isn't a bulb out message. The blinkers do work fine though. Thanks everyone.
