A seller on ebay is parting out his gen 1 ls. I heard you gen 1 guys dont like the flip out cup holders because it loooks cheap.Saw in his pictures what appeared to be the center console you guys like so I emailed the guy. If anyone is interested, he said excellent condition and its 45 plus shipping.

thats the one mine has its so nice although it sucks with the auto stick if you have cups in it

A little extra info on the swap. The 2002-2003 grey center consoles are a shade lighter then the 2000 center consoles. If you want the center console to match "perfectly", you will need to paint it.

Picture 1 The side by side shot of the "old" console(top) and the "new" console(bottom).
Picture 2 The armrest has been swap from old to new.
Picture 3 You can barely tell the color difference between the 2000 dash and the 2002 center console.

x2 on that, even with the flip cupholders, the SST is really in a bad position.
I tried using mine the other day, and its like its jammed or something, I cant push it forward :(

Ill be ripping it apart in the next week or so, and changing the polarity while im down there, (So you pull back to shift up, and push forward to shift down)

It's nice if you get the whole console. I picked up the whole console from a 2001 at a local junk yard for $65. If you just switch the cupholders there will be a slight gap on the base of the console where the flip cupholder used to rest when it was open.

Yeah it the whole console not just the cup holders. I thought it was one piece, the console and cup holder

lol. I try not to do that. I once read the saying, "Why wait? Fix the roof when it's sunny." and now try to incorporate that philosophy as much as I can.
