2000 ls v8 headlight options

im in the process of buying a 2000 ls and should have it soon.
The first mod i wanted to do to the car was the headlights.
I have always wanted H.I.D. lights and i am aware that the 2000 doesnt have them but the 2003+ does.
Could I just find a 2003+ ls at a junkyard and have the headlights with hids?
For the price i get those would it just be easier to go aftermartket? and do the aftermarket ones look better?
I also really want angel eyes, i have looked at lskoncepts like much people have recommended and saw the ange eyes are 380, if i get these then get hids will i still be able to notice the angel eyes?
Also if i get the angel eyes would you guys recommend getting it pre-wired?
dont know how difficult that is or if its worth another 50.

the 2003+ headlights dont fit in the 2000-2002 with out changing the front supprts out.....you can buy an aftermarket HID kit (LIKE I DID) and its all plug and play.....and LSK is no longer offering the headlights.....you have to buy a DIY kit and take you lights apart.....If you never took it to the dealership for headlights fogging up you are in luck you have the lights you can take apart......I hope this helps and more poeple will chime in on this too.....

correct - there is a thread on the actual steps on this.

swap the headlights, wiring
swap the upper rad support brace
swap the bumper cover

not inexpensive.....

If you do go with the '03-'06 HIDs, you probably won't be able to do the angel eyes (at least not easily). The newer LSes use the sealant that doesn't go soft when heated, so it's extremely difficult for most people to get the reflector assembly apart without damaging something. Plus, the low- and high-beams are different sizes on the newer LSes.

oic thanks guys im gonna just look into getting a hid conversion most likely and not have to deal with the trouble of a diy angel eyes kit because i dont trust myself doing it.

another thing i was wondering is if anyone has put differant colored angel eyes on their ls because i have seen white,red,blue,green, etc and was wondering if any color other than white looked good aswell. If anyone has some pictures of some it would be greatly appreciated
