Me and my friend decided to race on the highway starting at 65 mph. He owns a 2007 dodge charger with a diablo tune and deleted cats. I own the 1993 mark viii all stock. When we took off from 65 mph, we were even until 90 mph and then he just walked by me about two car lengths. When traffic was clear, we took off from 40 mph. We were even until about 90 mph. What cheap but effective mods I can do to my car to pass him?

Miles? Has your fuel pump been replaced? It could be weak and giving out up top.

3:73's and a trac loc, 150hp shot of nitrous and some drag radials if you just want to suprise him next time!

Wasn't an SRT...lol...he would have smoked you...and you'll need a blower to keep up with it

The 3.5L is about a second slower than a Mark and the 5.7 is about a second quicker. Really it could be either one. But was prolly the 5.7 with it still pulling after 90.

My lady has a 3.5 in her 300 limited and it feels much slower than my ls and i thought the mark and ls were pretty much spot on.

300 3.5 is almost 2 seconds slower then a Mark to 60

AIR, FUEL, EXHAUST, GEARING
The better it breathes, the better it runs.
The more it drinks the faster it goes.
What comes in has to come out, less restriction smoother flow.
Gearing is like fire in your a$$. Just makes you move faster.

Basic Tune up... Plugs, oil change, filters (fuel and such), Pump probably wouldn't hurt at 120k, cut the mufflers, weight savings is always free, induction of some sort...

Get creative man...
