18" Wheels

I'm going to be getting this wheel.

The width is 18X7.5 with a +42 offset.
I'm thinking of going with a 255/40/18 or a 255/45/18. Which tire will be the best fit without any rubbing?

They would need a 1/4" spacer to look right. 42mm will tuck them in and at 7.5" the face (lip) will be about where the stockers are.

Also a 255/45/18 will be closest to your stock wheel diameter and the speedo will onlybe 1 MPH off at 60MPH (it will read 60 and you will be going 61)

What's the ideal offset and width for the wheels to look good without adding spacers?

9" with a 36mm back spacing.
But you take that one with a 1/4" spacer and it would look pretty good.

Personally I am waiting for the silver Saleen Speedster replicas to be made again. They are 9" with a 36mm back spacing and at $170 each shipped thats pretty good price IMHO.

im getting me some silver 17x8 Momo Sports......I was thinking about buying those wheels they have a special on ebay. But I really dont dig that whole 6 spoke design...i prefer a 5 spoke better.

How deep is a +42 offset?

I run a 40 offset on my 10 inch wide wheels and its perfect. My fronts are 9 with a 30 offset and I couldnt go anymore without hitting the spindle.
