I Have A 2000 Lincoln LS, with the 6 disc in the glove box.. i've measured out the trunk and realized i only have 12" tall clearance if the box were flush with the rear seats... seeing as the speakers are 15" does anyone know of a box that would let me cleanly put two L7s in the trunk? and can i removed the plastic where the stock amp is at?

if you talking about the factory subs and amp in the trunk that big plastic thing can be taken out there are like 4 bolts on the bottom of it

yea that thing.. how much more clearance will that give me if i remove it? i know it measures just about a foot even with it in place. i'm trying to fit a 16 1/2" Tall X 36" Wide X 18" Deep box for two 15" L7's

I have a 2000 LS Sport with no amp back there... I measure and found it to be just a hair under 17". That is with no amp or speakers in the rear deck.

I have 2 15s look at my pics on car domain... Im at college right now and have a real busy week but this weekend ill measure the box if you want... I made it custom to fix tight...

Were are you located in? I've installed a couple in the LS but I don't believe any prefab box would fit. The L7 needs a lot of airspace to get the full potential and that would almost sacrafice your whole trunk.

That's what I was thinking too... And one thing the LS doesn't have, it's extra storage space to waste :)

AAA takes about an hour here in Chicago and even longer during rush hour. I don't think I could wait that long when I could change it myself and be on my way. Personal opinion I guess. Back in the day I didn't mind, I guess I'm just getting older and less patient.

those arn't L7's though... i seriously doubt i'll be able to fit them both, most likely going on ebay...

Someone has the 2 L7 set up. I believe he works for Kicker. Try searching the board, you should find'm.

I checked Kicker's website for the sealed box dimensions... Looks like you MIGHT be able to do it if you put them in sealed enclosures, but I think those speakers would perform better in a vented box, wouldn't they?

My box is to small right now I will make it bigger soon.... I like ported boxes better

You could easily make them fit. 15l7 is less then 9in mounting depth. If you insist on rear firing you could easily angle the subs a little to make them fit.

A problem with the LS is those bolts holding the stock 'subs' are stationary, i had to dremel them off. Also there are those two humps in the trunk that raise the height of your box at least an inch unless you figure out something custom.

anythings possible with the right amount of money. find vividls photo gallery he has 4 l7 15s fiberglassed in.

Question, why did you go with such large woofers? Sounds like you want to bump hard. If you didn't know this most of the subwoofers' output is a direct result of the enclosure. 15"s require a lot of airspace.

Absolutely those speakers love venting.

i got 2 12w6s jl audio wit 1800watts old school rockfords and im pounding on my very way with some space in my trunk:cool:
