05 V6 LS- Dual Climate Control Problem

ok same prob but mine started today. the driver side is set at 60degrees and so is the pass. but the driver is blowing out ice cold like it should the pass and the other hand is blowing hot hot air. a/c button is on too. i ended up goign home and then left again about hr later and well it is just fine bothe sides ice cold. Any ideas what this could be ?? im really confused

Yes, getting heat when you should get cold air is a really clear problem. So far, it has always been the DCCV that needs to be replaced to fix your issue.

On rare occasions my blend door seems to stick causing this issue. I have always been able to fix it by changing the drivers side temp to as hot as it will go and the passenger side to as cold as it will go. Then reversing the process. Finally, set everything back to the way I want it. This causes the blend door to go through the full range of motion (I believe). I must admit that I have never bothered to take it apart to verify this is exactly what is happening, but it seems to make sense based on the initial cause and the solution. Additionally, you can hear the blend door moving on my car as you change the temp.

For the 10th time, the LS does not have an air temperature blend door. The DCCV serves the function of air temperature control.

The Gen I LS does have a "cold air bypass door." (The Gen II does not.)

What you describe is the normal and correct operation of the cold-air bypass door on the gen I LS. The problem that you have is that your DCCV is failing.

I just had these same sypmtoms on my 2005 LS v6. The passenger side went full heat, and the SRVC ((P)) came on. I just replaced the heater control valve, but in the course of bleeding the system, I dropped the heater air bleed screw, and can't find it. Anyone know of an easily obtainable replacement

I got a replacement screw at the local pull-a-part
