Im a 25 year old recently discharged combat veteran and i work for everything i own. No mommy and daddy dont buy me everything, I live check to check like the majority of us here.

With that kind of attitude you wont get any help around here. You are the one acting like a child. We are not going to spoon feed you everything. Search the forums or get the :q:q:q:q out.

Have to agree with Black on this one, if you just repost in your old threads with other/more specific questions then someone will reply.

With an exception to a few situations replacing a car with a used one is a "waste of money". It is probably cheaper to keep the car you have going and what not than to buy another used one and inherit the previous owners misuse, lack of maintenance, etc. Just my $.02. I have no data to back this up except what I hear on the streets.

As mentioned it's a car, like others, it's going to have problems. The day a car gets built that is perfect down to every last detail, lasts forever, and is still affordable is the day a lot of people are probably out of my job. I'm done speaking out my ass now. Good day.

i hear what youguys are saying and not trying to piss anybody off. Im trying just to get best info i know if you maintain it but some cars are problem prone period! Is this one of these cars? Just want help! I find here everyone has nothing relly bad to say but you go to other forums in general they say they are lemons! I really like the car, and want to buy one but dont have money for a lemon. I can afford to maintain! Again im sorry!

If you're looking at the 2nd gen, especially the '06, chances are it is not a "lemon". I don't know the details but the general exaggerated definition that comes to mind is if a newly purchased car spends more time in the shop than it does on the road, then it's a lemon. I have no confidence in that definition, but at the same time, if true, your car isn't just being driven off the line, is already 6-7ish years old, and with each having over 100k miles the only problems you're likely to expect are already addressed on the site.

People might just be slapping the term to the car when in reality it's just a car that needs some TLC which is only the way to treat one as exquisite as the LS, or any car for that matter. I know there's more luxurious, sporty ones out there, but in my eyes it's exquisite.

Don't jump the gun too early as there are probably some out there with fewer miles. Between those two, the '06. Depending on where in Ontario you are, Detroit and Port Huron might be good places to look for other options.

hmmmmm...Both are getting pretty annoying..... I'll need to construct a timeline...

Please don't get an LS. Do yourself (and all of us) a favor and stay away from this car!

And if you do get the 06, don't move that :q:q:q:qty hu you bought over .. And keep your buddy away from it...oh, and remember the rear seat latches are in the same place, just in case....

1+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.

Are they even both still for sale. It's bee about 3 weeks now. I'd say buy a Camry or accord. Let the "people of the US" make the decision for you. Alot of people buy them so they must be good right. There ya go. Don't get an LS.

LOL.... well the only way to prove it and redeem yourself is to take a picture of your LS and post it... I have pics of jroccs, so if you can post a few (inside and out) with you giving a thumbs up in one of the pictures (to make sure its not a stolen pic...duh) Then we will forgive the 3 thread post.... I think thats fair... LOL

that makes sense Marcredd, may be the same cry baby.

@ Baby J, dont get either LS. i dont want to drive mine knowing someone like...you...also has one.

Edit: and both baby j and jrocc are from Canada

Relax

im not jrocc or whatever you think i really dontcare! LMAO wow i cant believe how personal you take this and anal some of you are! Just wanted best info i can get! Thats it but i see how friendly you are to someone that wants to join. I hate to meet or deal with some of you in person. But thankyou to all those non-haters! To the haters keep hating on me!

haters... I hate haha, that word It's dumb and only usable because of the pop music world, no one here knows you so I don't think we hate you, may be up for debate, but please be an informed educated human being and you may get somewhere. or not your choice.

From my observation it is VERY clear that you want to buy the LS. There is no point starting 400 threads on which is one is better, cause they are the same car.

You can go buy a 06 and have more problems than someone with a 03. At the same time, you can buy 05 that may be more reliable than every 06 on this forum.

So, just go buy one and if you are not happy, you can sell it.

If your not, thats cool... just a very strange coincidence all things considered..We are more "hating" the fact you don't understand how the Forum (or any others) work... I believe we were all pretty friendly the first time....and then the second... and even really on the third... But then you turned into a d!ck about it... You are cluttering up the forum with these moronic threads and wasting our time... (we'll maybe not wasting..id be on here anyway:p ). If you cant understand the risk you run purchasing any used car... then anything we post here isn't going to help....

Jrocc. I mean baby-j or whatever you are. Why are you Even a member you don't own a Lincoln.

Do people normally join that do not have a car. You could browse through all of our valuable information without joining.
I still think a Camry or accord is better suited for you. You don't seem LS material.

We are a great community. We have given you our opinion. We don't normally post threads about opinions, but If we do, we only post once. None of this posting the same thread 3 times. Again you could have bumped one of your first 2. Have you even driven these cars.

00-02's had some mechanical issues. 03-06 models were redone and had alot less issues. Some 03's were still shakey "transition year". But 04-05 are alot more reliable. And 06 are known to be the best. Still in your higher miles you may need new engine coils and little electircal issues may happen. For instance my last 06 only had 46k and already I had to have the rear diff, rear "sub" deck speakers, 6disk changer, heated seat fixed and a belt replaced. None of these are major issues but keep in mind buying a car with so many options something is bound to fail at some point. Mine was all covered under warranty. Since the cars your looking at are higher mileage I'm assuming they have no warranties. And lincoln parts are not cheap. So you can buy these cars the 05/06 I think we all agree are both good choices reliability wise, just be weary that with the high miles something may come up and be prepared to pay a premium to fix it.

If you really want something that is known for reliability. Go with a Honda accord, Toyota Camry, hyundai sonata.... That's my .02 cents. Now please make a decision and either get off this forum or buy one and try to stay a silent member on this forum. Seems youve disturbed alot of us already all because of a lack of "bumping"

Thanks lol
