LOL!! With 285 wide rear tires and this LSD that will be a challenge.
I don't think it would be a problem at all for me

So your driveshaft from the Gen2 worked with no trouble? So all we need are the Gen1 Diff housing and the Axles to make this work? And of cousre the 8.8 Trackloc.
Correct! GEN2 cars only need the GEN1 carrier, GEN1 axles, and a Trakloc unit and some shims. The rest just bolts right up.
There you go.
I'm just saying if you have a Gen2 and want a LSD, do it. The Gen1 parts are easy to find and swapping the axles isn't a big deal. Looking at the Gen2 insides there is not likely a easy way to LSD it.
Jason is correct! You have to remove the axles anyway to get the old diff out, so you are not doing any additional work.

One last stupid question, and I assume you would have noted it in these replies, but I will ask anyway...The frame brackets were the same, as well? Everything mated up, bracket-wise?
Actually we disconnected the upper arm from the IRS frame and the spindle from the lower arm...never touched the axle nut. Also the diff will come out undoing just one side.We did the passenger side.
But anyways my point was just that axles shouldn't stop you from the swap in a Gen2.
Let me see if I get this. I don't need to change out the axles to the Gen1, I can use the Gen2 Axles?

You dirty dog! I was thinking of a way to do it w/o removing those 36mm axle nuts. Thanks for the idea![]()
We didn't feel like going out to buy a new tool.
Edit: 2 man job this way though.
I'm pursuing the LSD into the GEN II carrier. I have the traclok in my possession, I just need to pull the carrier from my car and take the two in. We'll find out if it's do-able or not. I'm not holding my breath on this one though.
