General Description
I chose to build this MKZ because I wanted something out of the ordinary, something original that you never see on the road or at a car show. I will say this, I have yet to see another one like it. If anyone does have one I will love to see pictures of it!
I learned very quickly into the build that aftermarket parts for these cars are slim pickings. Next to nothing is made for it. I had to either fabricate parts from scratch or adapt universal JDM parts for it.
This sits on TSW wheels:
Front 19x8.5 with 215/35/19 tires
Rear 19x9.5 with 225/35/19 tires
It’s lowered 4 1/2” in the front and 4” in the rear. It is static not bagged. Because of this I made scrape plates for under the car out of 1/4” ABS plastic sheets and it works well.
The rear was also widened close to 6” on each side.
These are pictures from the last year or so at different stages of the build.
It really is an awesome car to drive!
