04 LS V8 Sport. Tried to start today and almost complete power failure. Turn key - nothing happens. No instrument lights. Battery OK. Courtesy lights work. Door locks work. Checked fuses and all appear OK. Bad relay?

Thanks everyone. Tried the disconnect battery suggestion and it worked (Left it off for an hour so 2 days not necessary. What made me try this was the red PATS light on all the time.

I have a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires on my LS. These are all season, high speed tires. Very good handling and are wearing very well - over 30k miles and still some tread left.

Thanks - it sounds as though the hard shifting is normal under those conditions. Shifting into reverse is OK unless parked on a slope without the parking brake on. Think I may get the tranny fluid changed anyway.

I don't know about body parts but Five Star Ford in Arizona and Rockauto both ship parts to Europe. (2004 LS in France)

Follow up: I left the moonroof open by mistake and used the key to close it - except I turned the key the wrong way and all (yes all) the windows and roof opened. So the window problem is fixed - working perfectly. Must have been some electrical glitch.

I bought a set of 8 for $140 from global automotive which looked OK but the connector pins were different (larger). If you are looking to pay $40+ each you may as well buy genuine Motorcraft parts from somewhere like Five Star Ford.
