I really starting to regret ever buying a Continental every freaking thing that can go wrong with these cars have went wrong with mine. I really enjoy the stares, compliments that I get when the car is in tip top shape but the repair bills are killing me. I just hit 118k and literally there is...
So an bad alternator can cause the check steering assist warning to come on ?
I am so pissed right now....I just spent $500+ on changing the rack and pinion because I was getting this warning. It haven't gave the "check steering assist" warning since I replaced the rack and pinion two days ago...
Touch up......I need the whole rear bumper re-painted, and I was thinking about ordering one already painted from bumpers.com but I needed the paint code.
Edit: Thanks for the correct color name I found it
yea I had the same problem in my 98, its two plastic pieces on each side its a dealer part called the stabilizer link

How positive are you about it being the Torque Converter, could it be something else that can be causing the noise ?
I mean.....you just hurt my feelings :( I'm going to get it check Thursday!
When your transmission was making a whining noise did it do this at start up ?..Mine is making a whining noise at start up but after it warms up it doesn't make the noise anymore !
It has trouble switching from cold air to heat vice versa, but when it does get to heat it gets HOT! So I believe it's the blend door it makes a popping noise whenever I turn the a/c-heat on.
