Did you look to see if the A/C compressor is turning? If you are running the compressor, the no A/C can be caused by a faulty blend door motor. The receiver/drier will make those noises if the compressor is working.
I'm out with the wife the other day, dropped her 06 Stang at the stealer for warranty work. Off to breakfast (She's buys since she dragged me out of bed to get to the dealer by 7am.) And as I pull in the lot the steering gets REAL hard like I lost the pump. I checked the fluid and it is where it...
IE 7 conspiracy theory
A burst hose might be just because it was old. Always good to flush the cooling system every 2 years, and use a chemical flush. It will make your engine happy and keep you off the side of the road.
As well, your ABS will work better if you drain and flush your brake...
The main cause for the dizzy to go bad is the bronze bushing wears out. Ford didn't use bearings. MSD and a few others use a bearing on the bottom but not the top. Accel uses bearings top and bottom.
I believe the factory dist gear is cast iron, not steel
Accel uses a proprietary metal...
Other ideas
1, If it is losing the pressure, I would suspect a bad check valve. I would think it would be in the pump??? I tried looking it up in my Ford service manual but no luck.
2, Do you drive with both feet or do you use the right foot for gas and brake?
If you drive with both feet...
You could always try putting a can of seafoam in the oil just follow the directions on the can as to how long to run (5-10-15 minutes) it before you change the oil
But with 210k+ miles on it, it may just be tired.
Hello all, For those of you in, or near Sacramento. This Saturday Feb 7th is free museum day here. WAIT, I know what your thinking, but one of the museums is the Towe (pronounced tow) Auto Musuem. It used to be called the Towe Ford Museum as in Ford Motor company. Well the lawyers f'd that part...
Funny thing about all of this
I just checked Fox news and CNN. They have nothing on all of this supposed controversy.
I even searched for "Obamas birth certificate" on Fox and the most current item they had was from Nov 1 2008. Here is the link...
Fuc#ing Zealot Sheep
The problem with zealots is; you can never change their minds. They believe so stongly in what ever it is, thet they are blinded to the truth. It is a waste of time to try to change them.
The issue here is that the Republicans are sore losers. Along with the racist pigs...
It can be one of several items.
1; The shifter cable might have broken.
2; the cable might have just popped of its ball and socket connector.
3; there may be something broken inside the tranny, but I'm thinking not since the shifter moves very smoothly.
You might need to bring them a dozen...
I went over to www.svpu.com , but they quit carrying parts. you might be able to call/ email them on the control arm length question.
If you want to use polyurathane bushings, just order ones for the 83-87 T-Bird/Cougar. You just need to know if you need the round or oval bushing on the front...
Well, I haven't fixed it. I do plan on getting some dyno time and having a chip burned for the ECU. But In the middle of this depression we are in, I don't think it would be wise to blow about $800.00 when I can't afford the gas for my pig anyhow. 7mpg in town, 15-18mpg on the hwy. That is...
Your tranny and Diff are OK!
The probelm is in the engine computer. It has to think about it when you step on the pedal. Before you changed the gears you didn't notice it since the car couldn't rev fast enough to go past what the ECU could handle. now that it revs faster, the ECM cannot keep...
Do you mean the IAC Idle Air Controller? If so it is mounted to the front of the throttle body and looks like this.
BTW this image should be rotated 180 degrees clockwise.
I have also added a photo of the MAP sensor. It is the black plastic part. It mounts to the firewall behind the engine and...
