Does anyone have experience replacing a brake booster on a markviii ? Any advice before I start would be appreciated

Its definitely the brake booster, looks like a bear to get outta there, anyone here ever change a brake booster?

I think the brake booster on my 130k 93 mark8 has failed but before I replace it I thought I would ask for advice, the brake pedal has gotten very hard, brakes still work just takes alot more muscle, I also noticed the a/c vents are acting up, not just under braking but can't find any vacuum...

That is the two proportioning valves and the cruise control switch

I've read that the Mark 8s had a recall on the cruise control switch because of a leak that would spray onto the exhaust manifold and cause fire, that switch is mounted on the front of the proportioning valve, I wish I knew the procedure the Dealer's followed to replace that switch

It looks like I'm going to have to drop the engine, I'm just wondering if I can unbolt the K member and lower the engine without disconnecting and draining everything enough to get at it ?

I removed inner fender and it's all unibody behind the inner Fender with no access to the proportioning valve, the exhaust manifold the steering column and wiring harness are all in the way from the bottom

Were you able to get a jack under your car?

Yup it's buried, I'm going to try lowering the engine and trans without unhooking and disconnecting everything, I have it on stands and hopefully when I unbolt the K-member and upper suspension, I'll be able lower it enough to get access !
