If you have a TownCar, replacing airbags with springs makes it into a taxi instead of a limo. But the airbags are really expensive to maintain when they go wrong. I appreciate this thread even if the original poster is a drive-by. It helps people who own TownCars who will run into these issues...

I have a 2006 Town Car. When I turn on the forward defrost, it works great. When I try to turn it off, it refuses to turn off unless I turn off the entire climate system. I'm not sure, though, that the defrost runs the entire time, but I know that the forward defrost light will not turn off...

I'm not in the livery service, but I want to buy a used black 2003+ LTC in Houston with under 60k miles. These seem to be phantoms and very hard to find. Any advice?
