    I traded in my LS...

i liked the color of my 03 LS8 enough, I figured why change :D http://i.imgur.com/hQpxAUN.jpg "Trevor" was a damned good car to me. ( we are weird and name cars in my house ) '03@110K miles, I got 5k in trade for it, which is about as much as I could reasonably expect. I hate it, but he was...

    I traded in my LS...

I at least owe it to the community that I learned so much from to disclose what I replaced it with. http://i.imgur.com/AFEHJeq.jpg Going from a damned nice RWD V8 to an AWD turbo H4 isn't quite the usual progression here, but it's been a blast. Thanks so much for having the cleanest...

FS: K&N FIPK Kit for 2nd gen LS 3.9L V8

It was a good run, but it's time to retire my '03. Since I will be trading it, I returned it to the stock configuration. For sale is a K&N FIPK kit for any second gen LS 3.9L V8. SECOND GEN = 03 AND UP ONLY I have used this part for 10k miles. It has all the installation hardware, the heat...

    Interesting CEL code

2003 LS8 I had a little situation recently where it behaved like a classic coil misfire situation ( Low throttle, low RPM roughness and hesitation, slow to start). After replacing all the COP's and plugs, the issue persisted. I really didn't have much to go on, so I ran it until I finally...

what do you feed your ls

Current and much lower than recently priced, 93 Amoco/BP Under 60 bucks for the first time in forever. There is a non-ethanol place a few miles down the road who, even at inflated prices could fill me at under 70 a tank.

    Cylinder Numbering?

Oh boy... sounds like I'll be in that other side soon enough. It's running a little better after what I changed out today ( coils and plugs on 3 and 4 ) but still not quite 100% I don't feel a skip but between 1500 and 2k I can hear it popping ever so slightly.

    Cylinder Numbering?

Fair enough. I dread the day I have to mess with that side. Sorry for coming off like I did. Also it looks like I have a leak in that cover to address. I found sand In there as well as what looked to be water stains. Once I got the coils off I took a shop vac to the tubes and that entire...

    Cylinder Numbering?

Well definitely found the problem. What concerns me is my warranty invoice said that plugs and coils tested good on 3 and 4. I am about 99%sure number 4 has never been pulled http://imgur.com/ESaJg.jpg Linked for size I am not a mechanic by trade, nor will I ever claim to know...

    Cylinder Numbering?

I couldn't seem to find anything definitive on this via searching. Are the cylinder numberings on a '03 V8 as follows? Passenger side front to back 1-2-3-4 Driver side front to back 5-6-7-8 Reason I ask is the last time I had the warranty COP replacement I was almost out of warranty, now I...

Coolant leak behind the engine - Can't locate it

It's got to be that hardline. Both rubber ends are bone dry fully pressurized, but that hardline is really the only thing back there that's running coolant ( besides the heater core which I am fairly certain is ok ) I know a guy in town who runs a damned honest shop ( if his conduct on a...

Coolant leak behind the engine - Can't locate it

I guess the only other thing it could be is one of the hardlines between the degas bottle and where it connects to another rubber hose on the passenger side. The connection sites are bone dry and it is leaking from somewhere I have no means to get to. Everywhere I can get a flashlight seems...

Coolant leak behind the engine - Can't locate it

This doesn't appear to be part of the heater core and I really have no idea what the part is http://i.imgur.com/emdou.jpg

Coolant leak behind the engine - Can't locate it

Looks like that manifold block near the heater core. Couldn't get a pic because of the location. I was on the 2k RPM step of the purging process and coolant started pouring out of the back of the engine again. Underneath It was running down that flange on the side of the bell housing...
