    Question about new stereo install

Ill have to get pics later, not around my car right now. Btw, its an 05 model. There was one big plug that had the speaker and power wires. A smaller one, 8 pin I think that had the sub and console connections. These were the ones the Crutchfield harness used. The other two plugs were a 6 pin...

    Question about new stereo install

My factory stereo is an in dash 6 disc changer, I'm installing a pioneer avic-x640bt. The harness I got from Crutchfield only has two plugs, the main plug plus a smaller one for the sub and console speakers. The factory radio had 4 plugs though, what are the other two plugs? I tried searching...

AHAHAHAH! Key won't open the door!

I can assure you the WD-40 is no worse than the grease that's already in there, but you can use silicone spray or whatever else as long as it breaks up that grease.

    Remote head key

I don't know if everyone knows or is even interested but you can use the later model Lincoln remote head key on some, maybe all LS's. I can't tell you which LS's it'll work on, but I know it works on the 2005. It's the one that looks like this... I'm not sure if this is the correct key or...

AHAHAHAH! Key won't open the door!

If it's the key itself not working, spray some wd-40 into the keyhole, then slide your key in and out several times. Ford vehicles are bad about having grease in the cylinders that hardens up over time causing the wafers to stick.

Thanks for all the compliments. Eibach springs. Photos taken on the way back to AR from Springfield, MO somewhere around Branson, MO. Yes, I sprayed the tread on the front wheel after I parked it.

    LS overheated last night

Well, took it in to the dealer and had them look at it. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. Guess I'll just wait and see if it does it again. I've also had a humming coming from the rear which I assumed was wheel bearings, so I had em look at that too. They said it's the left, rear...

    LS overheated last night

Ok, I'll keep looking. After I tightened it up and let it run for the 5 minutes, I started unscrewing it and it was coming out good. Also, while it was running the fluid in the Degas bottle was constantly churning / bubbling, is that normal? I filled it first thing, and during the whole process...

    LS overheated last night

I've been outside since my last response. I figured I'd bleed the system and see what happened. I never found any fluid leaking from anywhere and it never overheated. One thing I was curious about though. Are you supposed to completely remove the heater air bleed screw or just loosen it? I...

    LS overheated last night

Ok, I just went and looked. It's not broken, and doesn't appear to be brittle at all.

    LS overheated last night

I have a 2005 3.9L, 85,000miles. I haven't had any problems with it running hot until last night. I had started it and let it run about 15 minutes to warm up, then drove it about 15 miles into town to get something to eat... no problems... After I ate, was headed back home and about half way...
