the engine light is on now, could there be another code that I missed?

I have a 2000 ls v-8 with the engine light on the car overheated and fixed that problem and now the sensor shows up. Do I need to replace the sensor, and if so where is it located?

Thanks for the quick answers, the LS is a 2000 with 170,000, no heat when driving, or idle,the hoses from the heater core , only one is hot,the bottom one the other two not even luke warm.

I recently replaced the degas tank, and thermostat ,have bled the cooling system as recomendedfrom this site, I still do not have heat,did a system check and the results just show 88-188.8 degrees, what does this mean? checked all three hoses from the heater core only the bottom one was hot...
