I recently replaced the degas tank, and thermostat ,have bled the cooling system as recomendedfrom this site, I still do not have heat, did a system check and the results just show 88-188.8 degrees, what does this mean? checked all three hoses from the heater core only the bottom one was hot, help can't see to drive at night ,my breath is frozen to the windshield .

ok, the bad news

you may need to rebleed the system and follow directions to perfection. If this does not help the the DCCV is not working correctly. Put the heat on high, check the three hoses going to the heater cores. The DCCV controls the flow of hot liquid to the cores, all three hoses should be hot. If not hot then the DCCV is not working for some reason. How old is car?????

Unplug the electrical connector to the DCCV. If the system has been correctly bled (by the book), and you still don't get any heat while driving, then your DCCV is bad. If you get heat while driving, but not at idle and you have a V8, then the aux coolant pump is suspect.

Thanks for the quick answers, the LS is a 2000 with 170,000, no heat when driving, or idle, the hoses from the heater core , only one is hot,the bottom one the other two not even luke warm.

only one is hot,the bottom one the other two not even luke warm.

which is why Joe recommended that you unplug the connector to the DCCV, since all three hoses are not hot, then hot water is not flowing THROUGH the DCCV, unplugging it will help you determine whether or not the DCCV itself is bad and not opening, or if what is controlling it is not allowing it to open. therefore if you want to solve the problem then you need to follow the trouble shooting steps.
