    Well its finally happened!!!!

That's just the misfires because the coil finds the path of least resistance and fires to everything except through the spark plug. Most of the upper parts of my spark plugs are showing severe evidence of sparking, corroded. The spring interface between the spark plug and COP isnt' engaging...

    Taking Bets.

Exactly, sucks, but you should have driven straight to a shop/autozone after you got the first jump. I get the cars towed to my house using insurance, not to a shop if I get a breakdown which hasn't happened for years. Once you give the shop your car you are obliged to let them do there thing...

    tomtom for xmas

I actually put on 20K miles using it for work as a service tech. I sometimes have to tow bobcats and small equipment, so used the LS, lol.. I put the hitch on it. Honestly, the LS is our family truckster, gotta have a 4 door. Makes me feel bad when I jump into it greasy, but it's got...

    tomtom for xmas

$1500 and only took a week. It needed some body work, bad hood and hit on the rear bumper. Other shops quoted $1500 to just repair the bumper.

    tomtom for xmas

Got the GF a new paint job on the LS!! She didn't talk to me til today, guess she didn't appreciate it.. Told her if she didn't like the paint I would get her rims or tint, that didn't fly either. Guess she wanted something more personal, but hey, here's a couple pics, looks great by me. Bad...

engine shaking/misfiring not sure which one

If you had a check engine light, why didnt' you just scan the codes? It would of told you which cylinder was misfiring.. I scanned mine without a light, and it still told me which ones were misfiring. Also, with a scan tool you can turn the CEL off..

    satin black on an ls?

True, but if it's not a quality satin, you'll buff it shiny if you try to wax it. If you don't wax it, it will look like butt. So, I wouldn't do it myself.

    Installed V1 into my LS

Umm, not so much, both are really good. I got a Whistler Pro78 and want to upgrade as I drive 1000 miles a week and do speed on occasion. Here is the link to what I found. http://www.radartest.com/article_2.asp?articleid=100578

    Installed V1 into my LS

So, the valentine is better than the Passport 9500? I've read alot of great reviews on the passport, but havent' saw a comparisson of the two.

    satin black on an ls?

LS has too good of body lines to consider satin. Just fix it and get it painted. It's too new for a satin job.

    SEMA pic.

I saw the car on the Hot Rod Power Tour, baddest LS ever. sounded great. I didn't know it was a SEMA car. Here's the only pic I got of it.

What Spark plugs are you using?

My platinums were fouling in less than 10k, so far the coppers are fouling less. Electricity takes the path of least resistance. Copper is a far better conductor then platinum, it also heats up more thus burning off contaminants. So, in an iffy situation, they will not foul as easily. My car...

What Spark plugs are you using?

I put NGK V-power coppers in the car, they last longer in my car than any platinum plug. My car eats plugs and cops, coppers hold more heat so don't foul as quick.

Well, at 146k miles it finally happened

It took me 7 hours to do my drivers side, so if it isn't leaking, I wouldn't mess with it if I didn't have to. Mine is a gen 1 and was leaking into the COPS and fouling plugs, so I put the gen 2 gaskets on it.

    Probably cause of no/weak heat?

Mine was the heater control valve, but mine was stuck on hot during August.. It is expensive, and really hard to get to.. Hope it's not that..

    Well its finally happened!!!!

I've had my LS for 50K miles... Now, I date code the COPS, ie. 12/10.. Then I know the new from the old. When an old COP fails and is it in a hard to reach location, I swap the cop from an easy up front location to the rear and try the faulty cop up front. I have also went to copper spark...
