Casing may very well be a 97 number as well as many other parts. Can you find/read the trans tag. That would be what you would go by.

I've found the Hoen xenonmatch bulbs to be very close to factory HID color. Have yet to see a bulb that's a closer match.

I do agree it may have been done so the cops can write more tickets but I really don't get bothered by me for my tint or lack of front plate so it's all good :D Thaywood - That's a clean 1st gen Explorer you have there. The once in a blue moon you see one by me the rockers are all rotted out :(

Come on now, Jersey inspection is a joke since they dropped safety inspection last year. All you need to get a '96-up car through inspection is no check engine light. I love being able to go through inspection with tint! :D Also, not sure if you know this but as long as you have your front plate...

Thaywood, I'm taking my 102K mile bags out of the 98 very soon as I bought all new Ford suspension. I'll let them go cheap since I'll have no use for them. Only my LF was leaking, the rears never leaked.

I know many guys with SCs running it with great results. I will be putting one in my SC when I get around to it. Sorry don't know anyone with any other type of car running it.

Kirk it is factory twin turbo though so that would indeed be barely any mods. :rolleyes: The turbo 3.8L GMs of late were good for straight line performance only and nothing like the amazing cars built today. I prefer a more well rounded car like my SC, excels at nothing but good at everything. :D

EVTM = Electrical and vacuum troubleshooting manual They are around $20 or less on Ebay. Worth EVERY penny, I have one and a shop manual for every Ford I own :D

+1 Good choice Greg! Personally I'll still take a 2010-2012 SHO in Tuxedo Black but that may change when I drive the 2013 at Carlisle ;)
