pic or diagram request

i would be very appreciative if someone could post a pic of the wiring schematic that powers the ballasts and hids on my 97. ive determined that the plug the ballast plugs into on the drivers side is bad, and that hid/ballast combo is in fact good. i believe my problem is in either that connector or in the wiring somewhere. i replaced the switch with no luck too.

The Steering Column/Ignition/Lighting Module is located behind bottom right side of the instrument panel.

Check them with an ohm meter at the connectors in front of the radiator support.

You mean the wiring color codes, circuit ID's, and connector ID's?

Yup, the legend is in the EVTM, sounds like you need to get one.

You think?

Either you have 12v at the connector for the ballast with the lights on, or you don't.

Im sorry whats the evtm? I used the circuit tester function on the ground side with one probe in the ground hole on the plug and the other on the negative side of the battery . I was getting 11 volts at the plug with the lights on. I am guessing the plug is bad, but beyond that im clueless. Thanks DLF

They are around $20 or less on Ebay. Worth EVERY penny, I have one and a shop manual for every Ford I own

What voltage did you get on the other side?

Have you tried switching the ballast power leads around? Plugging them into the opposite sides?

If so, what happened?

I did switch the leads. On one side i got about 11.45 and on the side that didnt work i got about 11.0 v. I did switch the leads and the ballasts and bulbs are good on both sides.
