i have the same problem in my 97. i swapped in a 255 walbro unit for a cobra. now my gauge always reads empty and i get a fuel sender error. is there an easy fix for this or do i just have to live with it this way?

i got it tuned for the 4.10s and the 3500 stall converter and the jmod. it came prewritten on my sct x3 programer from boc

its a 97 so i dont have to change the speedometer gear right? and i think the shift points are ok other than it not shifting into 2nd until 25 then going directly into 3rd. actually that does sound confused lol

now that the exhaust is back on i have driven it some more. and ive noticed that second gear is acting exactly like overdrive. if i put it in 2nd manually it just revs up. but i can kind of feel it pull every time i tap the gas. almost like the car wants to go but then it just goes to redline...

i need the actual shifter cable. its for a 97 if that makes any difference. the plastic guide piece by the shifter broke and the wire got bent beyond repair.

i didnt cut the starter bolts. the starter bolts snapped off and were drilled out at a machine shop as favor to me. i understand why the tc not being seated will damage the transmission. what i dont understand is why it would make the bolts stick through the flexplate farther than they should...

i got a higher stall converter from blue oval chips. a "mechanic" friend of mine put the tc in the tranny. and another said that it seamed good to him. if it isnt seated right have i already screwed it up? i've turned it over quite a few times. i dont see what it not being seated all the way...

looking at it some more i'm pretty sure thgat the torque converter bolts are too long. i think they are sticking out past the bell housing. this would explain my problem.if i cut them flush with the nuts and it should work right?

i took the starter off and it worked fine so i loosened all the bellhousing bolts a little bit allowing me to spin the crank. once all the tc/flexplate nuts were tightened i put the starter back on and tightened all the bellhousing bolts again. now it turns over slower than normal and makes a...
