I took out my main seal with a speed bump at the bowling alley. about 15 bucks for the part & 400 in labor. :( Live & Learn I guess. :) I think once you dish out the 400 bucks, you'll be more careful.

+2. I had my main seal done and it was because I hit a tall speed bump at the bowling alley. My car's really good about maintaining oil levels. Just so you know, the seal is about 15 bucks and labor was about 400 or so at the dealer. D'OH!!!

scjmc: why don't you find a place that offers lifetime alignments? I mean, 300 bucks for 3 alignments is quite a bit of cash. Places like firestone charge about 140 bucks for lifetime of your ownership of vehicle.

Atleast it's not a BMW 7 series. Those things jobber 95,000 to 110,000 new, and now they can be had with 60K miles for about 30 to 35K. Now that hurts!

If that's the case, then get your Valve Cover Gasket ( VCG ) replaced since it let the washer fluid in. If they were good, then it wouldn't have done so. Just a precautionary measure. Hope it is the washer fluid hose that leaked.
