Fog light went out on my 00 LS. Went to replace, noticed water came out of the plug and saw some corrosion. Can I just clean the connector or do I have to replace the wiring? Is it a harness?

Filled up the tank 2 days ago. Almost empty already and have only driven like 90 something miles. I noticed that for every 1 mile on the odometer, I lose 2 miles on the "Miles to Empty" gauge. Any ideas guys?
