OK, so I swapped rear driver and passenger calipers. Now both rear rotors are super hot! Could it mean that there's a problem with rear passenger caliper and the brake line leading to it or something else?

They (the dealership) say that usually if a model is out of production, only remanufactured calipers are available. So for my LS, even if he punched in the number for a new one, only the rebuilt caliper was available. He said the parts were supposed to be all new, only the housing itself is...

Well, that's the thing - I wanted to buy a new one, but at NAPA, Autozone and the likes I only found remanufactured ones. I would love to buy a new one. Could you please tell me where I can get one? I guess one place will be a Ford dealership, but I'm sure they'll want like mucho $$$ for it...

I bought it at NAPA. I think that was the one I got because it came with a new bracket.

Do you by any chance know which line goes to the passenger rear brake? And Quik, what's that stuff that you have installed? Are these the line-lock solenoids?

What would be the symptoms of a caliper freezing up? I was able to screw the piston back rather easily, even with brake fluid reservoir cap closed, and the pins were swimming in lube. I added some more just to be sure though. When I put everything back together, the caliper caliper was sliding...

I went to see my family which is about 150 miles away. On the way back, my heat stopped working. No matter what temperature I set on my unit, no air would come out of vents. I checked the fuses - they seemed OK. Is it a blower or something else and how do I check?

I need new pads for all four wheels, so I went to Autozone website. And for rear pads I got to choose with 1 pistion caliper or 2 piston caliper. Is there any way to find out what I've got other than actually take the old pads out and look at the piston(s)?

Well, you see, the brakes were binding with the old caliper also. I mean, what are the odds that both old and new calipers were defective? Also, I talked to one Ford mechanic. He says the problem might be with the wheel bearing - if it's not installed properly, the wheel will be at an angle...

OK, so I finally got around to replace the brake hose, and nothing's changed. After a 20 minute drive the front brakes are hot, the rear right one is impossible to touch, and the rear left one is barely warm. Per owlman's post, it's most likely the caliper, but it was replaced like 4-5 months...
