Wait a minute! Are you saying that if the key pad sometimes don't work then you need new door jam switches? My key pad and remote only work 95% of the time. The other 5% I have to use the key.

Unfortunately this is not only a G2 issue. You car has the same switch inside the latch, and it triggers the door ajar message. The switch you replaced is a domelight/alarm trigger switch. In 97 they got rid of it, and incorporated the theater lightning into SCIL.

Its temporary for now, I didn't heat them up yet to melt the connectors. I ordered me a short finder so as long as this scil doesn't melt down again, hopefully I will be able to use it to trace down the source of my problems. These schematics will make troubleshooting and tracing so much easier...

nah, its not the battery, the clicking is coming from the scil and the ecm, not the started solenoid. the pats has my starter disabled now and the scil i bought wont let me try to relearn it. i put the battery charger on the battery every few days. thanks for input though!

Wiring is a cheap fix, just hard to find sometimes, throwing parts at it will get expensive. Looks like you will need an other new SCIL. I have a few laying around as well if everyone else has run out. You need wire diagrams and start tracing wires to find out which one is shorted/open...
