I keep having a coolant leak on my 2000 LS V8 Gen I. It is leaking behind the driver side tire, guessing Degas bottle? how do i change the bottle out? anybody have a tech article for this, pictures would be appreciated! As always, thanks in advance!

I know what your thinking search it and you will find it, but this is different than the ones i found. here are some pics from mine after i removed it:

its more like the part 8A520 above, its hard plastic and connect to the thermostat housing

yeah that part that has the yellow sticker,i am going to take it off tomorrow and see if their is anything in there

My radiator hose keeps coming loose and blowing antifreeze all over, found that the part circled in yellow is broken and their is not hardly any room for the clamp to tighten on. Now my car's temp keeps rising and it seems like the coolant isnt flowing properly thru the engine. what is this...

tomorrow is the day i tackle this thing! maybe another cause/problem though, oil in the air filter. not a lot though. any suggestions?

im just frustrated lol It was running this way before. I got 2 codes, misfire in cylinders 1,3, and 7 and i believe bank 1 too lean. replaced all 8 plugs and coils, ran great for a day, then the hose came off again, and now its running like it was before. I am at a loss as to what to try next...

yeah i tried tightening it, many times it has came loose though. could that be the problem for it running rough?

i found that pic on this site to use as a reference, my clamp is one that tightens with a screw, guessing a worm gear?

i think your talking about one that tightens with a screw? thats what i have now. i will pull the codes tomorrow and post them. thanks everyone! im a newbie looking to learn and save some money!

is that whats affecting the running condition you think? where can i buy that?

in the picture above it is the hose just to the left of the yellow sticker, that clamp keeps coming loose, right after that happened yesterday it started running rough.

I know it hasnt been 5000 miles since last change, maybe time to change again? not sure which oil i put in, i know probably something i should know! :) now today, i just got the misfire blinking light and then the check engine light came on again, i will have to go to autozone and pull...
