I only have 59000 miles on this thing... BUT, I hear you. Looks like the actual diff is independent of the two driveshafts going to the wheels. Wondering if D/S splines are the issue. Diff gears are big. Will need to take it to a pro, as I have lost my GASht to work on cars.

Yes - does fine with normal and even brisk acceleration - but when I hammer the mighty V6, I get a grinding. I even turned OFF the Traction control - still grinds. Makes me want to sell it NOW>
When I accelerate heavily, especially in RH turn, I hear a crazy grinding from the rear axle area... soundsl like gear slipping...

'05 V6 LS with OEM 6 disc CD changer in dash... The volume on the radio works as designed - though the steering wheel volume rocker only increases volume. If you push +, volume increases... If you push -. volume increases.
Any ideas? :confused:
I had a 1996 Ford - first year of OBDII. That early computer wasn't smart like the newer computers. I would disconnect my neg batt terminal for about a minute, reconnect (check ENG light would be out) then I'd drive 27 miles on the highway - turn around, and drive 27 miles back to the...
