    Shifter moves, won't engage gear.

Ok I'm an idiot, turns out when I grabbed what i thought was the shifter cable coming through the firewall was the cable to the hood latch... Anyways, yes the indicator will change. Shift cable was fine, I manually engaged the transmission into neutral by moving the...metal thing the cable...

    Shifter moves, won't engage gear.

2000 Continental, center console shifter. Cranked it up and put it in reverse, moved about a foot and then locked up. Shifter will move as it should, have to press the brake pedal and the button to move it out of park, and will freely move through the shifter, but it won't engage any gear...

    Interior Lights Staying on

My 2000 does it intermittently. Sprayed down the locks and gave the doors a nice slam. Don't do that unless you want to watch your door panel fly off into the car... Don't lock the car with the FOB, just use the key. Definitely check out MooJohn's idea.

I have fixed my car up...some tips

Well last year I had my tranny looked at and when the mechanic pulled the magnet he said it looked like a Chia Pet. He also said there is a good chance the torque converter is going bad (again.) I think I got a ballpark estimate of around $2,500 USD for the fix. Craigslist in my area, you could...

    Griding feel from brakes

Did you clean them off and try them again? Obviously I don't know how violent or small the grinding is but it could be some sand or junk up in there

    2002 CE Video

I've always ran regular with no problems. Once (when gas was cheap) I ran a full tank of premium and didn't see a lick of difference anywhere.
