    Protips?

Solution....get a 1/4" drive 7mm flex socket from Sears. Job is MUCH easier with that simple socket. You will be glad you did. Needs to be the flex SOCKET....not just a regular flex extension. The flex extension does not help much in that tight spot.

Double DIN Installation Proceedure w/front factory tweeters

Tips....both of these worked on my 2003 TBird when I installed a Kenwood 6960 double din Nav system 1) The "parking brake" sense is just a check for ground. If you ignore the parking brake switch and just ground that wire, you will be able to operate the Nav system while moving 2) You can get...

    Thinking about black chrome wheels

I have no experience with the product but I have heard others complain that it is easy to scratch and that you must be very careful about using typical wheel cleaners which can also damage the surface. I would be concerned that it looks great when new but that it would start looking bad before...

    Center radio stack removal

This video is for the removal of the radio from a 2002 Thunderbird but the radio section is essentially the same as the LS and follows the same process. May be intimidating at first but it is actually fast and easy. How to Remove Radio / CD Changer from 2002 Ford Thunderbird for Repair. -...

    "Jaguar" Aluminum Thermostat Housing

Does anyone know if the aluminum thermostat housing will fit on the Gen II plastic body? If so, that would at least provide one small improvement over the existing 100% plastic assemble.

    StopTech SS Brake lines

Thanks guys. Apparently the part number you had was different from the one I found via StopTech web site. Threw me a curve.

    StopTech SS Brake lines

According to the StopTech web site, the front SS lines fit all years but the rear only fit Gen 1 and they do not list a set for Gen 2. However, I thought I had seen someone here reporting that they used StopTech on the Gen 2 rear. Did I misread that or will the StopTech 85-530-5500 SS lines...

SCT X3 with Torrie Tunes - first impressions

For those of you who had a Torri tune, did you ask for or receive any major benefit on the low end of RFP?

SCT X3 with Torrie Tunes - first impressions

When you get a tune from Torrie, is the tune locked or do you still have the ability to play with some of the factors such as octane levels, etc like you can with the stock SCT tune.

Preventative maintenance on 3.9L cooling system

Not really. Approximately half of the total TBird production was the 02 model with the hydraulic fan. I have not heard much chatter on our forums about any such mods but I suspect some may have done that. I suspect the computer controls would be pretty tricky. Yes.....even the interior...

Preventative maintenance on 3.9L cooling system

TBird owners are very familiar with the suspension issues as well as the COPS. Even though most TBirds are lower miles, time is becoming our enemy and I expect a lot of the cooling system issues are going to be very time dependent. I figure it is cheaper and less trouble to replace hoses all...

Preventative maintenance on 3.9L cooling system

As a retro TBird owner which has many items common to the 3.9L LS, I hit this forum fairly frequently to see what issues you are having that might apply to my TBird. Generally, the average LS has 4 times as many miles on them than the average retro TBird so your experiences are a leading...

Which cylinder is #4 on my 2006 LS?

Cylinders are numbered 1-2-3-4 front to rear on passenger side then 5-6-7-8 front to rear on driver side. The info is in the book but you really have to dig for it. I think I saw it in the engine repair section somewhere.

    sct flash tuners

I use a SCT tuner for my 03 TBird. the TBird is highly similar to the LS V8 under the skin and the first thing the SCT asks you is if you are using it on a TBird or an LS. SCT offers a custom tune by SCT based on generic tests as selected bolt on items such as the Borls and K&N. Certainly not...
