    Alloy Wheels in Winter

Thanks, guys. This weekend I waxed them with a high quality wax, and normally during winter I wash every week, and sometimes twice if the temperature rises to the freezing area after salt's been put down. Also will look into the plastic ...great idea. Thanks. P Ryan

    Alloy Wheels in Winter

When I took my old Town Car metal winter rims and winter tires to put on the Conti I bought this fall, I was told that the old winter rims would not fit, and that the bolt pattern on the Continental takes only alloy rims. Normally I like to have a set of cheap rims with the winter tires, so the...

    Instantaneous Gas Mileage Display?

Hi all, Back on the Conti "team" after a couple of years away. Best car I ever had was a 1995, but after it finally went, I tried a Town Car-nice but not a Continental. So yesterday I just bought a 2001 Conti, drove it home yesterday, and am getting all the paperwork done now. It looks to be...

    1998 TC Overheating

A week ago, I had the 98 Town car coolant and rad system flushed. (Apparently the old old coolant was not winter-ready). Anyway had it done along with a tranny flush and oil change. Car ran so smooth, it was hard to tell it was running. Beauty. But a day or so later, driving in traffic the...

    Vintage Conti

I was out shopping tonight and there was one of those antique car shows in the parking lot. A few nice ones, but one car in particular blew me away, and stole the show. Get this, a 1951 Lincoln Continental. Didn't have the camera, but it was a two-tone green (pale body, dark roof), cloth amber...

    1995 Continental Toronto area

My trusty Continental needs a new home. It needs front suspension bags, and there is an ABS sensor code (passenger rear) that comes on. I figure probably $1200 to get it ready for the road again. Otherwise have taken real good care of the car-oil changes etc. - whatever it needed at the time...

    AC Different by Model?

Problem solved. There were 3 issues-needed coolant, there was a small blockage in the line somewhere and apparently a part was missing (?!) from the condenser. Anyway all done and blows as cold as I need now-same as the Continental...repair bill was $360. P Ryan

    AC Different by Model?

I have a situation - two Lincolns but the AC operates differently. My trusty (till recently) 95 Continental AC blows so cold that even on the hottest day, you need to turn it down. Literally like ice, and it comes on full blast maybe 20 seconds after starting up, and will actually sting your...
