So got up today to go to work... put the key in our 97 lincoln Mark viii lsc... nothing... just a couple clicks... over lunch hooked two cars... both fairly little... a crappy contour my neighbor had and a sable... had to do both cause one had to go back to work... charged them for about 20...
damn that sucks... yeah I found the handle and bezel on ebay... so hopefully it works... the gasket that goes with was pretty hard... but i called like 4 lincoln dealerships around here and found one... thanks though... crap does suck... just paid to get the handle fixed now it's gonna cost me...
So my door handle on our 97 mark lsc busted a couple weeks ago... found the handle... got it painted and installed all for a 100 bucks... BUT... now the bezel around it busted... so the handle rattles around... and of course the part is listed as discontinued... I was just curious if anyone on...
is there a write up on it somewhere?... I can't find one... from what I hear it's really easy... just gotta keep aware... I just wanna make sure I"m pulling the right things and such :D... thanks for the info so far though :)
Hello folks I have to replace my inner tie rod I was just curious how hard it is to do... I have access to a hoist so I'm thinkin I can do it myself and just take it in for an alignment afterward... shop quoted me 220 total to do it... is that worth it? thanks :D
So with the last snow fall my girl decided to get a little stuck... well I didnt notice till now that the skid plate is missing... must've broke off with all the ice... or shattered... who knows?... all that's left is a little chunk of it... I'm thinkin of just busting it off since it's hanging...
Oh yeah and I kinda forgot not that it probably matters but it's a gen 2... so if I do them myself... I need to get the tool and that's about it?... I already just put new brake fluid like last year... I had to pop the master cylinder loose so we figured might as well change it then... how long...
Yeah... I got all mine for like 50... and I'm not the most tech savy... with my girl holding a flashlight I did ours in about half an hour... probably could go a lot faster with good light :D
How hard are they to replace?... and how much you think I"m lookin at changing all the pads and rotors... the local service shop where a friend of mine works said they'd do it all for 500 bucks... including parts... doesn't sound that bad... but I've worked on the fronts before... machined the...
yeah... I called cause I actually had my plate on the passenger side like that and they said it's still illegal... I don't know how they can give you a parking ticket for that... some cars you can't get a front bracket for... and if it doesn't come that way factory why would you wanna drill into...
So I've been driving around without a front plate for almost a year now and over the last week I've just gotten 2 parking tickets... kinda strange all of sudden got 2... 30 bucks a pop... and both when I was parked... really dumb since I see cars all day driving around without a front plate...
Yeah rewire... it's REALLY easy to do a lot easier than tryin to figure out the wiring mess they have stock... I ran 12 gauge monster wire to all my speakers and it was pretty easy... I went with polk momo's in the front and infinity kappa components in back... sounds crazy awesome!... I also...
Hmmm that's kinda a wierd sub for a big car... but I have my JL 12" shooting up through the rear deck and it's loud!... nice and tight... only one sub... but I've had people thinkin it was 2... or a 15... for a sub like that I have no clue... depends on the box... and how much air it needs... I...
