    300,000 Mile Club

Awesome! Our '00 LS is hanging around 220,000. One of our Escorts has 292,000 and our '56 Ford has over 400,000. Nice to know we're not the only ones that consider cars as permanent. The bad news is that my brother sold his '00 LS manual, it had been in the family since new.

    Rough/low idle

If you find the speed that the shake goes away is increasing, check the fasteners that hold the engine and transmission together, they may be backing out. We had these same symptoms with a Dodge Shadow right after an engine swap. Turned out the garage forgot to torque the engine to the transmission.

    Shocks and Struts 2001 LS

Welcome Rage, 15-!2 months ago I was able to get an entire set of 8 genuine FOMOCO control arms and toe links for our 2000 LS. Some were stamped Jaguar but had FOMOCO tags on them. The Jaguar parts are the same and may still be available from Terry's Jaguar. Now the bad news, original springs...

    Aftermarket LS Parts!

Hi Stu, my late son loved watching (and showing me) the video of the Drift Taxi. With all the suspension parts you're showing maybe what our LS needs may be up your alley, namely either LS sport shocks or Jaguar sport springs. Ours is a 2000 V6 LS Sport manual.

    Bilstein conversion or this?

I looked hi & lo for new Jag sport springs to no avail, even traveled to Harry's of Hazelton to see a 2000 S Type, it had a V8 (our is a 6 manual) and wires running into the shock's top stud. I was trying to amass parts for a suspension rebuild while parts were still available, obviously, I'm...

    Manual 5 speed owners?

Years ago I worked for Synthes (twice), at that time, experience showed that Stainless could cause strokes and titanium was harmless. When I busted my elbow roller skating in 2002 I insisted on titanium hardware. When I came to after surgery, the surgeon informed me that not only did he use only...

    Manual 5 speed owners?

Nooooo... A late Neighbor of mine actually found someone that repairs that kind of stuff. I don't remember the place of business anymore, it was a long time ago, But I do remember that he found them under 'Radio Repair, Automotive' in the Yellow Pages. Try an internet search with a similar...

What did you do to your LS today?

Pedal pads came yesterday and they looked very familiar, they are same as the ones on our manual Escort. No surprise there! The cup holder with door came during the night, it was on the steps this morning. Pleasant surprise, it's not midnight black, it's dark charcoal, same as our interior. AWESOM!

    Manual 5 speed owners?

LSE-4_LYFE, I was talking about the inside of the car...and those lug nut covers. Really do like the color though.

    Manual 5 speed owners?

I like the color, but that is one ugly car. Reminds me of the way one of our Escorts looked when I bought it. I keep a list of everyone on the site that mentions owning a manual LS, it currently has 15 names on it. But I have to give an honorable mention to my brother's manual LS in Oregon...
