I have a very annoying squeak from my driver's side rear end. I used a mechanics stethoscope and am fairly certain it is coming from the LCA. I sprayed some silicon lubricant into the bushings and the terrible squeak has receded.

Looking on RockAuto, there are Mevotech arms for a 2003 (states up to 11/18/2002). I am not super keen on the Mevotech products but they may be ok if I plan to use my OEM arms and reload the bushings with Poly or Jag bushings.

Anyone use LCAs from Amazon? I am sure they are similar in quality to the Mevotech.

There are some Lemforder but they are >$300 each.

Can anyone confirm the compatibility of later Jag rear suspension parts? The ones that I have seen surely "look" like they would be compatible but looks can be deceiving. Specifically arms from later S type, XF, or even XK. I was thinking of calling my local Jag dealership to see if they could confirm that 2000-2002 suspension part compatibility with later models.

It's been a few years since I did mine but I think the Jag ones work but you need an additional washer or something, I used Moog when I did mine, there are threads on here about them but when they upgraded the forum they broke the search feature, you can still search if you use Google and use the tags to search this forum only, I forget how to do that also but you can Google it I'm sure.

According to my notes from 2 to 3 years ago (and I'm not a very good note taker), you are looking for Jaguar # XR88160, left rear lower control arm. Lemforder was the supplier for Jaguar (and by proxy, I'll bet Lincoln since when I bought control arms from the dealership they were stamped 'Jaguar') the only Lemforder available at that time was # C2P16879 & C2P16878, I don't remember which is right or left, but they are for mid 2005 and later and will need 5mm thick shims to fit on earlier cars. Now if someone will just tell me where to get these shims and exactly where to put them. As far as the Mevotech control arms go, I put Mevotech lower control arms on our 95 Escort wagon 2 1/2 years ago and the right one squeaked right out of the box. I also own a 56 Ford wagon that gets new control arm bushings every 100,000 miles (not so much anymore). It was with this car I learned that squeak was a much sweeter sound than clunk.

Here is a sample search from outside L vs C: lincoln ls gas cap site: lincolnvscadillac.com

I bought the XF Jag rear lowers for mine bur have not installed yet. I felt comfortable enough with the reports of just needing some washers to go ahead ahead and take the chance. We should be able to source washers close to spec needed from Mcmaster Carr.
