Crap! After working on circuit 11 and a faulty brake pressure switch I am now getting 7.2MPG. But I did have a bit of fun after driving the truck for three days!
I took the quick way and just removed the wheel splash guard and the first thing I noticed was the gentle wafting of brake fluid!
The switch and plug were both fairly soaked with brake fluid. First, I unplugged the connector and tested at the I/P fuse panel and guess what. Open curcuit...
Check the owner's manual. The I/P fuse panel is on driver's side of the dash. It should only take a few minutes to check them all (but you may lose your radio settings). Best candidate is #4 in the corner opposite the empty circle.
Car says I'm getting 20.5 mostly city. Haven't been on the highway lately but used to run near 29 or better. I enjoy my Mark's acceleration and don't always use A/C.
What a "hoot!" This is a fun thread.
There are several add-in spell checkers for IE as well. Of course, I don't use one as I agonize over each keystroke thinking "it could be my last."
Nice quote, Isaiah. That was a classic routine. :)
I use Castrol 10w30 synthetic blend with a Pure One (the pretty blue one) filter on my 207,000 mile engine. It really likes the blend and I don't ever have to add a quart between 4k-5K changes.
Does the "jiggle" happen when the A/C is on, off or both? Hard or easy acceleration? Could be high speed fuel pump curcuit from the VCRM or O2 going lean as well. My '95 did this when the LH O2 sensor needed replacing.
Check the connector on the coolant bottle to make sure the contacts are...
I've been waiting for an excuse to remove that bumper cover. I'll replace the compressor while I'm in there as it's a bit noisy after 207,000 miles!
Did I miss any other test points?
My '95 has acquired an electrical demon!
The 10A fuse on curcuit number 11 blows in a matter of seconds after installing a new one. It's a long story, but my son had #11 blow about 2 months ago and instead of calling me he just pounded on the shifter interlock button until he got it in...
Thank's for the input ... I just got back inside from checking things out and actually it's both problems! The amp is bouncing around on its shelf and the rear shock mount are "thunking" pretty bad.
Guess I have a "price point" here! Again, thanks for the input.
Just brought home a test drive '96 VIII with a moon roof. Press the front of the rocker switch to close and then raise the moon roof to vent position (the rear pops up). Press the back of the switch to close from vent and then continue to open it "normally".
Of course, then Mark I'm...
Cut the red wire first or the results could be mame you for life!
Seriously, goole the brand name on the top and you'll probably find a statment like "Rust-Gard uses a microprocessor controlled circuit to generate a negative electrical charge to your car's grounded body panels which in turn...
You can get the alternator online a Bob Utter's site for $153.66 (there may be better prices out there) and a $60.00 core charge.
It's right on top and easy to get to for replacement but it didn't happen n your garage so there is the price for convenience.
