Understand, it's at a Buy-Here-Pay-Here lot. They can get away with overpricing it because their buyers have lousy credit and can't get a car any other way. They sweeten the deal by telling you it's 0% interest but the interest is built into the price. And the interest is HIGH.

Actually, I finally found a site that listed the steering ratio for the LS. It's not as bad as I thought. 17.5:1. But I have been driving Fox body Cougar XR7s since the mid 80s and I guess I've just gotten used to the 15:1 rack in those.

Does the sport have a tighter steering ratio? Or is there an aftermarket or other steering rack that would give me a lower ratio?

Brought it home. Got my money back from the dealer who sold me the 2000 with a bad transmission and electrical issues, drove 60 miles and traded my '88 XR-7 and $2000 for a black on black 2001 LS V8 It does seem to have a misfire when you get on it at higher speeds but I think a new set of MSD...
