The other option on Gen 1s aside from the above mentioned fuse box tap, is to utilize the power source coming into the fuse box on the right hand side of the box. It is a small bolt on that side that is a direct source from the battery, this worked perfect for my kit.

Good to know another busa owner, they are all I ride. Wasn't diminishing the 750, they are awesome bikes, and for what they are, exceptionally fast. Sold one to a customer with a few mods just last summer. Very well balanced bike, and especially for the money one of the best sport bikes out...

Ok, so simply tap power with the relay harness from one of the empty spaces in the fuse panel? Electronics I am woefully inadequate in, so having said this, the unused relay space will have a section for me to run the positive wire and ground from the relay harness? Thank You.
