I think the center "stack" in the LS is one of the cleanest looking designs in that era of sports/luxury sedans. The whole dash looks nice. Makes a nice feel from the driver's seat.

Have you looked thru all the Wisconsin CL's? I've seen a few Gen 2 down around your price range. I would never buy a Gen 1 because I test drove one before buying my 03 and it was like they were two different cars. Saying the Gen 2 is "more refined" is an understatement.
