I put the Akebono Brake Pads (Euros) on F&R last summer with new factor rotors, I have had no problems with them. They seem to stop better than stock, and the real plus is NO DUST. I have not had to power wash my rims since!

Have you checked the fan clutch fluid level? It looks like a power steering fluid reservoir, on the left side of the engine. When did you problem first appear? Did any service precede it? Who replaced the thermostat? Was the correct part used? You have done a lot of work, it seems something...

Just a question, have you replaced your thermostat and belt? How old is your coolant, and what type? I would check/replace them before spending the money.

You see the part of the stud showing through the hole, spot weld it right to the frame.

The same thing happened on my sisters Ford Tempo. I spot welded it. No problem for many years.

Have you checked the fluid level? Something similar happened to me several months ago, it turned out to be marginally low fluid level, I added the fluid and everything was fine.

Don't forget during the colder months the refineries are adding MTBE to the fuel, that actually decreases your mpg.
