Make sure you maintain the cooling system. It is a big part of keeping the N* happy and the forum cadillackman mentions is a very good site for Caddys.

The N* has its problems but if your still interested the cars that didn't maintain their cooling system are more likely to experience issues. My car has 88K and has no issues. Remember, this is a lincoln site so don't expect to read any good info about Cadillacs.

It's good you guys like racing us Caddy guys given our limited mod support thanks to the OBD2 CPU:bash: but that's about to change.:eek: :headbang:

Thanks for your reply as I'm really interested on how this car is going to compete with the CTS if aftermarket goodies aren't available to help like the N* vs the Ford 4.6.

What type of aftermarket performance upgrades are offered on the MKZ? I know the Mark 8 had a good following but if I brought a MKZ, what are my options in the market for if I wanna mod to kick some azz:D and don't run that search BS on me. Give me some up to date info.:eek:

Getting cosmetics out the way. You either want more torque or horse power. This topic on which is better will rage on forever.

Your ISC (idle speed control motor)might be bad. Pulsating/racheting sound after shut off, high idle, both telltale signs of a bad ISC.

I don't know about cost but from what I've read there a PITA to change.
