Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Liquidlounge, Thanks for sharing, I wasn't aware there were (Gen 2) Aluminum thermostat housing and other outlet parts. It's been a while, I thought only (Gen1's) could use the Jag Aluminum Housing. Good to know as I have gone through a couple of plastic ones. Do you have a link for it? Thanks

Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Thanks Pyts, For explaining the difference.. Cause, I was wondering why my 79 Z28 still has the same working coolant reservoir from the factory .. Hate these new cars!!

Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Wow, thanks for the updates! I was thinking that this would be a plug and play deal. To me, it makes sense for an aluminum degas bottle (only if it's exactly like the plastic oem) because, it's seems like you wouldn't have to think about except if you wanted to clean it out or something.. The...

Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Hey, has anyone purchased an Aluminum Degas Bottle? I'm looking at this one on Ebay; However, there's no sight glass. https://ebay.us/m/jOIpTR If so, how are you keeping up with measuring coolant levels? By comparing the full mark on the old plastic one and engraving a mark on the Aluminum...

Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Clubairth and PYTs, Thanks for the update! Yes, AI has taken me way out of line.. It's showing a separate Heater Control Valve mounted under the Brake Master Booster which is wrong! No wonder I can't see it cause it's not there! I'm going to pull out the Degas Bottle Out and inspect. FYI I...

Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Thanks LSV8FAN, I've heard about that leak and you have to remove the intake manifold.. The way I found this leak was by overfilling the system and turning on the engine and the area where you're addressing is all dry... This one is underneath the power brake booster. I'll find the...

Leaking Heater Control Valve - Mounted Under the Brake Booster

Hi, it's been a while since my last post. Has anyone attempted to remove and replace this valve? If so, did you get to it from the bottom or top? I can't even see it. I used AI to help diagnose and removed part of the coil cover on the driver's side. Initially, I thought it was my degas...

How can I check parts compatibility between Lincoln and Jaguar?

Thanks, Good Info: I'll update my alerts on my PYP Pick Your Part App. to include Jaguars. Out here in LA I can't remember the last time seeing an S-Type on the road.

How can I check parts compatibility between Lincoln and Jaguar?

Great Question!!! There's probably a lot of us in the same boat re: interchangeable Jaguar S-TYPE R Parts. I'm sure there's some type of database out there.. For example I ordered a motorcraft serpentine belt years ago; It came in a Motorcraft jacket however the actual is a Jaguar Belt. Same...

2003 Lincoln LS V8 Trans Shifting Problems

Thanks Layla, This is frustrating; of course, all the transmission shops I've called and/or been too; keep saying oh, you need a Transmission Rebuild right off the top of their heads. I'll pick up another code reader that reads transmissions and ABS Brakes.

2003 Lincoln LS V8 Trans Shifting Problems

Thanks for sharing, I have a 2005 LS Sport w/ 109K Miles. I am now having Transmission Shifting problems mostly when cold from (3 - 4) and sometimes (2 - 3). Background: Had a new Pump Seal and Torque Converter installed about 9 Months ago due to a Transmision Fluid Over Fill caused by a shop...

Part #'s and Special Tool to Remove Hoses from DCCV and Auxiliary Water Pump to Metal Heater Lines

I hear you re: the cooling system: Joegr is correct! I have the sport model. Good luck in chasing down the factory hoses as most have been discontinued. Also, there may be a Jaguar equivalent (Don't quote me on that) However, there is one saving grace; If you find an aftermarket version e.g...
