Thank you for that suggestion. It never crossed my mind to use an adapter. I’d feel more comfortable using an adapter than pressing the probe into the radiator fins. It would also explain why I haven’t found a water jacket spot to thread the probe into for this fan conversion.

Yeah all the information you’ve given me has helped a lot. Question about how you wired yours, do you have any pics or good resources for how to wire it or the best place to wire it so it’s out of the way?

Thanks the aux line I was concerned. I probably should’ve mentioned that the hydraulic deletion is being worked on outside of the engine bay. Had to replace the engine and figured it was best to do it while it was out of the car. I’ll have to keep the Perma-Cool fan in mind (just in case).

So with your complete hydraulic pump deletion, did you keep the aux pump and lines? Also, you mentioned the alternator (original one) only pulling 110 amps, do you have a suggestion on an alternator that would work better? Cause I’m installing an Derale 16833 dual

Does anyone have an oil cooler on their Gen 1? If so, what brand did you get? If not, do you suggest running one or running it without one? 2000 LS V8 -

I know the system is completely separated from everything else. I already have the pulley and belt etc. What I’m asking about is the cooler lines. You have to remove a couple of cooler lines in order to do this job. Do these cooler lines get cut off and not used, do they get reattached, etc...

No services manual here. The car never came never came with one. My fault for not putting the info in. It’s a 2000 LS V8 3.9L (1st Gen)

Yeah not looking for pretty, just a fix. I’ll check out the butyl rubber as well. Finding the OEM replacement for that one has been a pain cause I’m not finding the OEM part number or name. If I had either one of those I’d be good to find a replacement (even if it’s from a Jag equivalent)
