Getting Ready to Re-do My Exhaust, Opinions?

I agree that you will probably see the inside end of the tip from the side if you bend down, but according to how well the guy does the exhaust. My tips are at a slight downward angle so the inside end is up higher than the outside end of the tip.

But the tip itself is too short to look good on the LS, you will be able to see the tip end from behind as apposed to the 7.5'', the narrower diameter where the tip ends is hidden behind the bumper because its longer.

Those 2 are different tips if you hadn't noticed. The first are flat and the second are angled 15 degrees, angled looked better to me, but its up to you.

Thanks for the input guys, i went with the 7.5" ones. I really like how they look on Bulls and Andrizzle's cars so i want that exact ASS look.

Alex do you have the same ones?

Now the waiting game begins...

Cool.

Yeah, I have the angled 4'', 7.5'' long tips. I liked the angled tips 100 times better than the straight cut tips I had with the flowmasters.

Just placed my order. Can't wait.

By the way they are on sale. Part #4820. They are $89 each on the bassani webstore instead of $212(ebay) or $115 (autoaccessories). 4820 should be the configuration you need (center in, offset out) unless you changed your pipe configuration when you did your last exhaust set up.

Question about tips:

Trying to save wherever i can, so do you guys think i can get away with using these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MagnaFlow-P...ies&hash=item4d005c1062&vxp=mtr#ht_1454wt_952

versus these:

or do you guys think they'll be too short?

I went with Vibrant 1207 exhaust tips. I found them for less on eBay:

Amazon.com: Vibrant 1207 Round Stainless Steel Tip: Automotive

^ dammm thats a good deal! and i really liked how they looked on your LS.

too bad i ordered my tips already :(

...i guess, worst case scenario, i could return them. Do they only come in that finish? they're not like the magnaflows: polished stainless steel?

If the guy doing the exhaust just extended the other end between muffler and the tip they would extend paste the bumper and it would not be a problem. Do you have any pictures of the way it was that burned your bumper, I never saw that before unless was really behind the bumper, and if so should have not been left that way.

It was my fault.

I learned from it. I wanted a more flush appearance and with the texas summer the heat coming out of those pipes was too much. It didnt do much damage it just melted part of the plastic around the cut openings. I fixed it with a dremel and with my new longer tips its not really noticeable.

Confused

Can you guys help determine if i got the right ones?

I ordered the Magnaflows #35121, but i'm not sure i got the right ones. They're supposed to be 4" tips and 7.5" long. How do you measure them? I measured the diameter and got 3". Then measured the length and only got like 5".

i ordered these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MagnaFlow-P...ies&hash=item5ae627f368&vxp=mtr#ht_1454wt_952

Are these correct?

Something is wrong. If you look on MagnaFlows site the 35121 should be 4" diameter and 7.5" long. On the box you got it has the same part number but says 3" diameter and 7.5" long.

I really wish they still made those Ansa Silverlines I got. Nobody has been able to find any since I got mine. I could spare set :(

thanks guys, def going to contact Summit to make sure; possibly return them, and go with the Vibrants

Those lookthe like 7.5'' tips, dont know about the dia.

really? so how would i measure them?

i sort of eyeballed them using a ruler, but from the longest side i only got about 5", ill find a measuring tape or something.

Did you measure from end to end or only where the tip is 4" or your 3''?

Look how pretty and menacing :D

If youve been following this, look forward to pics and sound clips by the weekend. Im hoping the hi flow cats add that extra touch to differentiate my exhaust from Alex's and others who have bassanis.

When are you going again? Friday? I'm gonna try and take Friday off and head there to get mine done as well.
